Thomas J. Ray, Jr., J.D.
Mr. Ray is our director of consulting services and has been a practicing attorney for more than 17 years. He was formerly on the staff of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod Foundation in St. Louis, Missouri -- a charitable foundation with more than $500 million in endowed and managed assets. He earned J.D. and B.Sc. degrees from Oklahoma City University and has received the Certified Financial Planner (inactive status) designation from the International Board of CFPs and the Certified Fund Raising Executive (inactive status) designation from the National Society of Fund Raising Executives. Mr. Ray is a national speaker and instructor on estate planning and charitable tax planning. He maintains law offices in the St. Louis area and is a member of the Missouri and Oklahoma State Bars. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.
M. John Brugere, C.P.A., J.D.
Mr. Brugere is our director of gift and trust administration services. He is a Certified Public Accountant practicing in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia and holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign. Mr. Brugere is an adjunct professor of accounting at Webster University in St. Louis. He has earned the Certified Financial Planner designation.
